PoolFlow Editorial Policy

PoolFlow publishes field-workflow education to help pool service professionals ask better questions and use the app responsibly. Articles are educational and are not a substitute for product labels, test-kit instructions, workplace procedures, professional engineering, accounting, insurance or legal advice.

Authors and reviewers

Every article must identify its author. When a subject needs specialist review, the article must also identify the reviewer and link to a biography that states verifiable qualifications and relevant experience. PoolFlow will not imply a chemistry, safety, legal or regulatory credential that has not been verified. Older articles attributed to the “PoolFlow Team” are queued for individual attribution and specialist review; that label describes the publisher, not a professional credential.

Sources

Regulatory, licensing, safety and chemistry claims should link to the most direct available primary source, such as a regulator, standards body, product label, official training register or peer-reviewed publication. Jurisdiction-specific claims must identify the jurisdiction and the date checked. Commercial comparisons should link to each vendor’s own published material, explain unknowns and avoid presenting a changing price or feature as permanent.

For feature tables, a check mark means the capability was documented in the linked first-party material on the stated review date. “Not verified” means the reviewed public material was inconclusive; it does not mean the product lacks the feature. Plan-specific and partial capabilities must be labeled. Published pricing models should not be converted into route-size cost examples unless every assumption is stated and supported.

Updates and corrections

Material reviews receive a visible updated date. A date changes only when a person has reviewed the article and made or consciously confirmed substantive information; automated rebuild dates do not count. If a factual error is found, PoolFlow corrects the article and documents a material correction when it could affect a reader’s decision or safety.

Material correction — August 20, 2026: PoolFlow corrected its US competitor pages after a full review of first-party vendor material. The prior pages misstated Skimmer’s pricing and omitted its Orenda-powered LSI and dosing tools. The review also corrected or qualified pricing and feature claims for Jobber, Pool Brain, Pool Office Manager, PoolTrac, PoolCarePRO and Pooltrackr. The comparison now links its sources, labels plan limits and uses “not verified” instead of treating missing public detail as proof that a feature is absent.

Product claims

Product capabilities should be reproducible in a current release. Performance, time-saving, customer-count, rating and financial claims require a stated method or an external source. Otherwise they are presented as examples or removed.

Reader responsibility

Always follow the chemical manufacturer’s label and safety data sheet, use suitable personal protective equipment, and retest before adding more chemical. Licensing, tax, workplace and public-health requirements change and can differ by state, territory, council, county or municipality. Confirm current requirements with the authority responsible for the work location.
